Police personnel in Yobe State have arrested a 43-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, in connection with the alleged murder of his wife, Ammi Mamman, in Damaturu.
DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Police Spokesman in the state, released a statement on Friday in Damaturu, confirming that the incident took place at New Bra-Bra Estate around 4:48 am on Thursday.
According to Abdulkarim, the suspect was sharing the same bed with his wife when she was assaulted with a sharp object on her neck, causing severe bleeding that resulted in her death.
He mentioned that the police were interrogating the man to uncover the circumstances surrounding his wife’s tragic demise.
The police spokesperson urged anyone possessing credible information regarding the incident to come forward, emphasizing the importance of ensuring justice for both the suspect and the deceased.
