Police Arrest Father For Beating Son To Stupor Over #50 In Ile Ife

There was a little pandemonium at Ojoyin street in Ile Ife as police  operatives arrested a father of four, popularly called Baba Tunde for beating his son to stupor.

The incident which occurred on Tuesday evening our correspondent learnt the father beat his son for stealing #50 in his room.

The father claimed that his son had been stealing his money since his mother had left him five years ago.

An eye witness who craved anonymity said he was the one that called the Police to rescue the son.

“Some residents of the area with me stormed the house of the father who has been beaten with a big stick for over an hour for stealing #50”

“When we discovered that the father did not want to stop beating his son and blood has been coming out from the son’s body, I swifted called the police for quick intervention, he said.”

Confirming the story, the Area A Commander of the police division in the town, Funsho Adegboye said the father has been arrested and would be charged to court soonest.
