The Police in Adamawa State have arrested five hunters in connection with the killing of a 14-year-old teenager in the Maiha local government area of the state.
The suspects allegedly tortured the victim on suspicion that he stole N20,000.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, in a statement, said they were arrested on Wednesday, June 5, “for the unlawful arrest and torture” of the teenager who they accused of stealing the 20,000.

“The suspects are currently under investigation and would be charged to court for the law to take its course,” the Police statement said.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dakonmbo Morris, who condemned the actions of the hunters, warned members of the public against taking the law into their own hands.
