The Adamawa State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Jaoji Isa, has been arrested for alleged extortion of the sum of N2,400,000.
Isa’s arrest was confirmed by the Adamawa State Police Command.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, investigations conducted led to the identification and arrest of the perpetrator.
The statement noted that the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered further investigation to ensure that such acts of extortion of innocent people do not occur in the future.
The CP emphasised that those found guilty must face the full consequences of their actions, as their behaviour undermines the collective efforts to maintain law and order in the state.
