Police Arrest Over 50 As Hoodlums Clash In Lagos
At least 50 people have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command in connection with a clash in the Ile-Epo area of the state
OSUN DEFENDER gathered that a fight started in the market situated in the area on Wednesday night and continued till Thursday morning.
The clash left many people injured, while the hoodlums reportedly set the market on fire, leading to the destruction of goods and other valuables.

A fire service truck that drove into the market this morning was also forced to reverse after being pelted with stones.
Confirming the development, the Lagos Command in a statement issued by its spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin said normalcy has so far been restored to the Area.
The statement reads, “Over fifty suspects have so far been arrested while the shanties they occupied have been destroyed, effectively dislodging them.
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, has directed the prompt prosecution of the arrested hoodlums and has equally warned that the Command would decisively deal with anyone found breaching the peace, in accordance with the law.
“Meanwhile, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Operations, Area Commander Alagbado and other Divisional Police Officers under the Area Command are currently on ground to forestall further breakdown of law and order”.
