Police Arrest Two Suspected Robbers In Ile Ife

Operatives of the police in Ile Ife, State of Osun on Wednesday said it had arrested two suspected criminals who terrorise and robbed motorists and pedestrians along Iremo road.

The Area Commander, Funsho Adegboye said police undercover operatives deployed to the route arrested the suspects on Saturday.

He said the two suspects had been on the command’s watch list for a long time.

“ They were arrested while robbing a lady identified simply as Tope around Iremo road.

” They had succeeded in dispossessing the victim of her phone and other valuables before they were arrested.

“ The suspects in their statements to the police owned up to the crime while the stolen items have been returned to the owner,” he said.
