Police Arrest VeryDarkMan, Mr Jollof After Airport Fight
Two Nigerian social media personalities, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, known as Mr Jollof, have been arrested following a physical altercation at Asaba International Airport.
Ossai Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, confirmed the arrest on Monday.
United Nigeria Airlines also confirmed that the duo were deboarded from Flight UN0523, which was scheduled to fly from Asaba to Lagos, and handed over to airport security.
The airline said the confrontation occurred during the boarding process on 17 November 2025 and that crew members acted immediately in line with international safety regulations.
Eyewitnesses reported that the altercation quickly escalated, prompting intervention by airline officials.
A video that quickly went viral showed VeryDarkMan and Mr Jollof engaged in a physical fight onboard.
Following the incident, both individuals were removed from the flight manifest pending further review by the airline and authorities.
Ossai expressed disappointment over their conduct on his Facebook page, saying, “I saw VeryDarkMan collecting beating from Mr Jollof this morning at the Asaba International Airport.
“They have been unboarded and arrested. I am really disappointed in both of them for fighting inside an aircraft when they should have done that on the roadside. VDM nor get mind and e go dey talk carelessly. I am really disappointed.”
