Police Assures Violence-Free Xmas, New Year In Osun

Police Public Relations Officer in Osun, Folashade Odoro, has said that the command  is working to make sure the state is free of violence before, during and after Christmas and New Year festivities.

Odoro disclosed this on Rave FM programme “Eyewitness” in Osogbo.

She maintained that police personnel have been placed in strategic areas of the state to prevent crime.

She urged the people to raise alarm when they notice any suspicious movement of an individual or group of people or visit the nearest police station for their security.

”Police operate under legal authority, our men cannot work without permission. This is period of Xmas and New Year and prevention is better than cure. Men of the police have been sent to investigate issues in some parts of Osun for the safety of lives and property.

”If anybody has any complain about our men, they should visit our office, we have different departments in any of our stations that can look into the relative issues,” she said.
