A joint operation of the Nigeria Police Force, Amotekun corps officials, hunters and vigilante men have rescued the second victim from Sunday’s kidnap incident in the State of Osun.
Gunmen had on Sunday night abducted travellers along Omoh/Erin-Ijesha road, in Ori-Ade Local Government Area of the state.
Reports from the security agencies confirmed that the gunmen kidnapped a man and a woman and took them to a nearby bush around Ori-Oke Omoh while others were left at the scene.
The police on Monday rescued the man which while the combined operations continued to comb the forest for the woman
The image maker of the Osun Command of the Nigeria Police, Yemisi Opalola confirmed the rescue of the victim.
Opalola explained that the Osun Joint Task Force, JTF was instrumental in the rescue operation.
She maintained that “the Commissioner of Police vowed to ensure their release and make sure that the Osun Command is rid of every criminal activity. His word is his bond! Activities are ongoing to arrest the criminals.”
