According to reports, a soldier attached to the Joint Military/Police Operation Safe Haven, maintaining peace in Plateau State, part of Bauchi and Kaduna States, was involved in an argument with policemen at a checkpoint.
Commenting on the incident, a relative of the deceased, Rashida Muhammed, told Daily Trust that the unfortunate incident occurred on Friday, 10th October, 2025, at the popular Tudun Wadan Dan Iya, popularly known as Bayan Gari in Bauchi metropolis.
She said a police patrol team was stationed at the place, which is used for social gatherings.
