Police Dismiss Taraba Constable For Stealing Goat

The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed a constable attached to the Taraba State Command for stealing a goat.

The officer, identified as PC Usman Mohammed, was serving at the Mutum Biyu Division before his dismissal.

According to an official signal from the Commissioner of Police, DFA Jalingo, addressed to the Divisional Police Officer in Mutum Biyu, the action followed due disciplinary procedures in line with the Police Act and Regulation 370, Cap 389 of the 2010 Laws of the Federation, as amended.

The offence, classified under paragraph ‘E’ of the First Schedule of the Police Act, led to the immediate termination of Mohammed’s appointment.

Police authorities further directed that all official items issued to him, including his identification card, be retrieved and his salary stopped.

His service records will also be updated to reflect the dismissal.
