Police Dock Two Men Over House Breaking

The Osun State Police Command last Monday arraigned two men before an Osogbo Magistrate Court over an alleged house breaking and stealing of households materials.
The suspects are Ridwan Onifade, 24, and Taiwo Hammed, 27, who are facing four count charges bothering on conspiracy, stealing and burglary
The police prosecutor, Inspector Jafani Muslim informed the court that the duo and others at large conspired to commit felony, house breaking and stealing on July 26, 2018 at about 11.30 pm at Ayekale area in Osogbo.
He added that the suspects entered into the dwelling house of Mustapha Rahman and carted away some of his household properties.
According to the prosecutor, the properties stolen are One LG 32 inches television valued N70,000, one Stabilizer valued N15,000 and one wrist watch valued N10,000.
Other items are two neck laces valued N35,000 and one Itel handset, valued N20,000.
The items stolen by the suspects valued N150,000, all belonging to Mustapha Rahman.
He submitted that the offences contravene sections 516, 411(2), 412 and 383 punishable under section 390 (9) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2003.
The suspects had no legal representation but pleaded not guilty to all the charges alleged against them
The Magistrate, Mrs Modupe Awodele granted the duo bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties each.
She said the sureties must reside within the court jurisdiction, one of the sureties must be a civil servant, sworn to affidavit of means and provide three passport photographs of himself and the accused.
The case was adjourned to October 8 for hearing.
