Police in Osun on Monday arraigned one Obamwonyi Alex, 38, before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo over alleged car theft.
Inspector Joshua Oladoye informed the court that the accused person stole and converted to his own use, one Toyota Camry vehicle, one Honda pilot and one explorer vehicle total valued N3,950,000 properties of one Mr solarin Adekunle, the complainant.
The prosecutor submitted that the offence contravenes section 383(1) and punishable under section 390(10A) of the criminal code cap of 34 vol.ll laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
The prosecutor, inspector Oladoye Joshua told the court that the defendant committed the offence on January 2018 at Babalola White House Ogo-oluwa area Osogbo.
He pleaded not guilty to the single count charge preferred against him by the police.
The defence counsel, Mr A.O Emmanuel prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
Presiding Magistrate, Mrs Falilat Sodamade granted the suspect bail in the sum of N600,000 with two sureties.
The case was adjourned to September 24 for hearing.
