Police, DSS Disperse Thugs At PDP Headquarters Amid Leadership Crisis

There was tension at the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja on Wednesday as security operatives dispersed suspected thugs allegedly deployed air jordan 4 mars blackmon 2024 to prevent members of the National Working Committee (NWC) from accessing the party’s secretariat.

Witnesses said the security personnel confronted the thugs and successfully cleared them from the premises.

A party insider, who spoke anonymously for fear of victimisation, told PUNCH that the thugs were recruited amid the ongoing leadership crisis rocking the PDP.

The party has been embroiled in controversy following a power tussle between Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye over the position of National Secretary.

While the Court of Appeal in Enugu upheld Ude-Okoye as the legitimate secretary, Anyanwu has taken the matter air jordan 3 black cement 2024 to the Supreme Court, which has reserved judgment on the case.

It was observed that a heavy security presence at the PDP headquarters, with at least six patrol vans belonging to the police, DSS, and NSCDC stationed around the area.

The NWC meeting, chaired by Acting National Chairman Umar Damagum, was eventually held with Ude-Okoye in attendance as the party’s recognised National Secretary.
