Police Grill Philanthropist For Alleged Defamation Of Osun Senator

An Osogbo born philanthropist, Kehinde Raji popularly called Aaraj was on Wednesday questioned at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Osun State Police Command over allegations that the Senator Representing Osun Central Senatorial District, Olubiyi Fadeyi Ajagunla, diverted the Federal Government rice palliatives.

Osun Defender reports that Ajagunla and Aaraj had been at loggerhead over the resignation of the special assistant on media to the senator.

Aaraj had in a Facebook post alleged that the Senator hoarded the rice palliatives.

He also said he would mobilised 5,000 Osun Central constituents to demand the distribution of the rice palliatives.

The medium learnt that Ajagunla petitioned the police, accusing Aaraj of defamation of character.

According to source at the State CID, Aaraj was questioned and detained for about some hours.

The source who do not want his name in print because he was not authorised to speak said Aaraj was later released by the police in the evening.
