Police Invade Osun NUJ Secretary’s Residence, Whisk Him Away
The Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Osun State Council, Comrade Olalekan Akindoju, was arrested by policemen at his residence in Osogbo on Thursday morning.
The State NUJ Chairman, Adeyemi Aboderin, confirmed the arrest in a short message.
According to information made available, policemen allegedly stormed his apartment and took him to the State Criminal Investigation Department, CID, in Osogbo.
However, the Osun State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the incident or explain the reason for the reported arrest as of the time of this report.
