Four men who specialise in the production of counterfeit drinks in the Agege area of Lagos have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
They were apprehended by operatives of the command from the Isokoko Division
Confirming the arrest on Thursday, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said in a post on his X handle, formerly Twitter, that they were nabbed by the police officers after receiving credible information about their nefarious activities.
He said, “Officers of the Isokoko Division, acting on credible information, raided a house in Agege where fake alcoholic drinks were being produced.
“The police arrested four people behind the illegal distillery and recovered fake drinks, empty bottles, and labels of different brands. The investigation is ongoing,” Hundeyin said.
