Police Parade 18 Suspected Homosexuals, Others In Bauchi

The Bauchi State Police Command has paraded over 18 persons arrested for various crimes ranging from armed robbery, homosexuality and kidnapping.

The suspects were paraded by the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar at the Command’s headquarters on Thursday.

Abubakar told journalists that the suspects were apprehended through information from the state’s intelligence unit and from residents within the state.

The police spokesperson added that items recovered from the suspects include knifes, motorcycles, Television, Cell phones among others.

DSP Abubakar said, “Our men through intelligence report from the public effected the arrest of the suspects in various places within the state as part of police constitutional obligations to get rid of crime in Bauchi state.”

He said that the command was always ready to smashed any criminal activities in the state.

He added, “We have charged others to court for the appropriate punishment to serve as a deterrent to others.”

He said that some of the suspect were still in police custody and are cooperating with security to unravel certain vital information

He urged the general public to always share vital information to the police that could help prevent crime.

It could be recalled that the Command had recently paraded about 14 suspected arm robbers and others for various offences.
