The Osun State Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, on Wednesday, honored an invitation by the state Police command over an allegation of cyberstalking agsainst him.
Lawal was alleged to have cyberstalked the state Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Sources told Osun Defender that the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters, Nurudeen Kareem, submitted a petition to the state Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Abba, alleging Lawal of cyberstalking Adeleke.
He also noted in the petition Lawal’s conduct is likely to cause public unrest.
The Commissioner of Police, after receiving the petition, was said to have ordered a diligent investigation into the allegations.
The Police summoned the APC Chairman to Police headquarters in Osogbo for questioning over the matter.
Osun Defender authoritative gathered that Lawal was at the Police Command on Wednesday where he met with the Commissioner of Police.
The APC chairman who honored the invitation, was accompanied by his counsels, Waliu Salimon Adebayo and Muhydeen Adeoye Galadima.
They spent about 2 hours with the police Commissioner before leaving the command headquarters.
A senior police officer who spoke with Osun Defender on condition of anonymity confirmed the presence of the APC chairman.
The Police officer also said Lawal denied the allegations against him in the pettiton.
