Police Reportedly Arrest Supect In Killing Of 14-Year-Old Boy In Ilobu
•As Adeleke Commends Police, Urges Arrest Of Other Political Thugs
Governor Ademola Adeleke has commended the Inspector-General of Police, Tunde Disu, and the Osun Police Command for arresting a suspected political thug, Saheed Kareem, popularly known as Tanfeani.
In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, the governor said Tanfeani is alleged to be involved in the killing of a 14-year-old boy, Ezekiel Olapade, around the premises of Irepodun Local Government Area last Sunday.
“Governor Adeleke commended the IGP, the DIG and others who made the arrest possible. He described the arrest of Saheed and Akilapa as a good development,” the statement said.
The governor urged the police to intensify the manhunt for other suspects terrorising the state.

He also called for a thorough investigation and diligent prosecution of those arrested.
Adeleke further repeated his call for a change in the leadership of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the state police command.
“We are watching to see how far the police will prove its readiness to enforce the law and secure our people. For now, we thank the IGP, the Deputy Inspector General of Police and others who make this possible,” the governor said.
