The State of Osun Police Command on Thursday said normalcy has been restored after hoodlums’ hijacked the All Progressives Congress protest over the list of candidates who emerged as councilors for the January local government election.

This is has police advise commuters plying Ibadan/Lagos expressway to disregard rumour being peddling around that the expressway has been blocked by the hoodlums.

The situation is now very calm,” says a police officer who prefers anonymity adding that the roads earlier blocked by the youths have been cleared and were now motorable.

However,  sources revealed that the protest was organised by a former executive secretary, Mr Soji Ajayi in Irewole Local Government Area who felt displeased with the outcome of the primaries.

The former council boss who was in charge of the council for 5 years was defeated in a primary organised by the party.
