Popular Black American Actor, O.J. Simpson Dies Of Cancer

Orenthal James Simpson, celebrated Black American footballer, actor and broadcaster, commonly referred to as O. J. Simpson, has died.

He played in the National Football League for 11 seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills, and is regarded as one of the greatest running backs of all time. The family has confirmed the death of Mr. Simpson who became the centre of attraction of his double murder trial.

OJ reportedly died of cancer. He was 76 at the time of his passing on Thursday.

He rose to fame as a college athlete before playing for the NFL.

In 1994, his fame took a turn when he was arrested over the death of his former wife Nicole Brown and friend , Ron Goldman.

While the prosecution accused Simpson of being the murderer out of jealousy, his defence insisted he was a victim of a conspiracy.

The jury had agreed that Simpson was not guilty in a case that shook the world.
