Portable, Speed Darlington To End Years Of Rivalry In Boxing Fight

Nigerian controversial musicians, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, are set to finally settle their long-running feud in a much-anticipated celebrity boxing match.
The showdown, tagged Chaos in the Ring: Battle for Glory, is scheduled to take place on 18th April at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The rivalry between the two artists escalated after Speed Darlington offered Portable โฆ500,000 to perform at his showโa gesture Portable found insulting.
The Zazuu Zeh crooner dismissed the offer, branding Darlington as “poor” and claiming he charges nothing less than โฆ20 million per performance.
The disagreement soon spiralled into heated exchanges, with Darlington expressing regret over reaching out and Portable accusing him of using his name for publicity.
Their war of words eventually led to a challenge for a physical showdown.
With public demand for the fight growing, organisers Mygamerush confirmed the bout in an Instagram post on Tuesday, stating, โYou asked, and now it is here. Two street kings battle for ultimate street supremacy.
In response, both artistes have begun training, fuelling excitement among fans. Darlington recently shared a video of himself in a boxing ring, showcasing his preparations, while Portable also posted clips of himself training, hinting at his readiness for the fight.
This is not the first time the duo has been involved in controversy. In the past, Darlington mocked Portable over his legal troubles, while Portable has repeatedly belittled Darlingtonโs career.
