PoS Operator Attacked, Robbed In Gombe
A Point of Sale (PoS) operator, Michael Achile, has been robbed of N200,000 and a smartphone valued at N50,000 by three gang robbers in Gombe State.
The Gombe State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Buhari Abdullahi, disclosed this incident on Tuesday.
He said, “The suspects came to the victim’s shop, bought cigarettes, and later returned, attacked, and robbed him of his valuables – one smartphone valued at N50,000, cash sum of N150,000.”
Abdullahi added that on receipt of the complaint, the team of policemen from Operation Hattara swung into action and visited the scene.

He stated, “They rushed the victim to hospital for medical attention where he was treated and discharged.”
He noted that the police were able to arrest Adamu, adding that during interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime.
“The suspect has confessed to his crime and will soon be charged to court for prosecution. The police recovered a cutlass from the suspect, which was used during the robbery. The second suspect, Musa, is still at large.”
