Prayers, Tears As Mourners Pay Homage To Afonta’s Corpse
Emotions are flowing freely at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park where Islamic rite will take place for the remains of the popular Islamic cleric, Sheik Abdulwahab Banni Afonta.
People are breaking into tears as they pay homage to Afonta’s remains, even as they shower prayers on him.
The Islamic rite and janaza will take place any moment, following the arrival of the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheik (Dr) Muhammad Bashir Saliu Al-Fulani, OON, and Chief Imam of Osogbo, Sheik Musa Animasahun.
