Osun United Football Club will on Saturday face Crown Football Club, in one of the Week 7 fixtures of the 2018 Bet9ja Nigeria National League at the Oshogbo Township Stadium.
According to a release by the team’s media officer, Tunde Shamsudeen, Osun United with a game at hand against Ikorodu United currently sit last on the log having taken four (4) points from five (5) games, while Crown are second (2nd) on the ladder with 13 points from possible eighteen (18) points.
Both Osun United and Crown have had a mixed season having lost and drawn at home respectively.
The Omoluabi Giants are familiar with their opponent, and will look to take three points from Ajilete Warriors, so as to sit comfortably on the league table.
Osun United will be up against credible opponent that would most probably ask their defence the most questions and they must be wary of red hot Daniel Benson, Bode Daniel, Adewale Adigun, and Adeyemi Adeyemi, who have been putting up some good performances for Crown.
Osun United coach Adebayo Adesina, will take charge of his sixth game on Saturday in the Bet9ja NNL South West derby and will have a full squad to choose from with all his charges fully fit for the contest.
Osun United are bent on recording a win against Crown and records favour the Omoluabi Giants to beat Crown, having won all their matches against Crown in Oshogbo, but they must work hard to stop the deadly Crown attack.
The Ajilete Warriors coach Oladunni Oyekale, may choose to unleash the same line-up that defeated Rovers Football Club 1-0 on Wednesday at the Soun Township Stadium.
The contest is expected to be fiercely-fought and Adesina said he expects a convincing win over Crown.
“We are going for all three points on Saturday. In as much as we respect Crown, we do not fear them and that is why we will go all out to get the maximum points at stake.”
Oyekale sees Osun United as a tough, more physical side that will struggle for every ball come Saturday. He urged his charges to show great character and be tactically disciplined against the Omoluabi Giants,
“This will be a big game, we will do our best to win the game but the truth is that Osun Utd will give us the fight of their lives, but we will do our best to get something meaningful from the match,” Oyekale told OSUN UNITED MEDIA.
