– Rep Secures Ticket, Warns of Alleged Upturn of True Situation
The member representing Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Yinusa Amobi Akintola has lauded members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the area for their support for his second term ticket.
While speaking to newsmen on Saturday, Amobi appreciated the party leaders and members who trooped out massively on Friday to give their nod to his second term bid.
He however, raised the alarm that some individuals led by an engineer turned politician in the federal constituency, are planning to upturn the true wishes of the party members.
According to Amobi, he is aware of varying attempts by these individuals to upturn the votes which party members decided in his favour.
The result sheet of the direct primaries signed by the APC Chairmen in the three local governments, Engr. Lasun Olaniyi – Iwo, Mr. Ismaila Akinyooye – Ola Oluwa as well as Ayedire local government with the certified true copies sent to the APC situation room in Osogbo.
According to the statement, Amobi had 5,207 votes in Iwo Local Government against
Pharmacist Leke Ogunsola who had 3,291, 2,542 against 2,261 in Ayedire and 3,262
against his closest rival who had 1,904 in Ola-Oluwa.
He urged his supporters and party members in the federal constituency to continue their unflinching support for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s re-election on July 16, as the APC remains the party to beat in Osun State.
