The Moro town in Ife North West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Osun State, has elected Prince Gideon Oyeyemi Adebayo as the new Olumoro of Moro.
Osun Defender gathered that the Oba-elect hails from Arowoeledejoye Compound, Moro.
It was also gathered that he got three votes to defeat his co-contestants, Prince Olasunboye Oyetunde from Arowoeledejoye Compound and Adetoro Adeyinka , who got one vote each.
Other two contestants are; Prince Olaoye Oyedele Joel and Prince Ezekiel Oyewumi.

The stool of Olumoro became vacant following the demise of Oba (Dr) Ezekiel Abidoye Oyeniyi who joined his ancestors in the month of February, 2024.
The election which took place at the headquarters of Ife North West LCDA, Edunabon, on Wednesday, was conducted under heavy security presence.
Five Kingmakers including; Chief Oluyinka Olanrewaju J. (Omoloju of Moro), Chief Adeyemi Adeagbo (Molaage Of Moro) Chief James Salako (Asalu of Moro), Apostle Eegunyemi J. Idowu (Baale Arowosile Joye) and Pa Jacob Oyebanji Aderibigbe (Baale Arowoeledejoye) participated in the election.
Announcing the winner, Head of Local Government Administration, Ife North West LCDA, Edun Abon, Mr Lawanson Taiye Yunus appreciated the people of the town for their peaceful conduct.
