A magistrate court sitting in Osogbo has remanded a 55-year-old man, Moses Olatunde in prison custody over alleged cheating and stealing.
According to the charge sheet read in court, the accused person cheated one Mrs. Kudirat Yusuf by buying cooked food worth N269,940 only on credit and refused to pay.
The offence committed, the charge sheet disclosed is contrary to section 383 and punishable under section 390(9) of criminal code cap 34 vol.11 law of Osun state Nigeria, 2003.
However, the suspect who had no legal representation pleaded guilty to the two count charges preferred against him.
Presiding Magistrate, Mr. O.T Badmus ordered that the suspect should be remanded in prison custody.
He later adjourned the case to October 26, 2018.
