Ramadan: Salinsile Greets Muslims, Preaches Giving And Piety

As Muslims in Nigeria join their counterparts the world over to embark on the month long Ramadan fast, the Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in the state of Osun, Hon Rasaq Salinsile has called on Muslims to take advantage of the holy month to increase their level of piety.

In a statement, Salinsile urged adherents of Islam to have the fear of God in all they do.

He urged them to be tolerant to one another, embrace the virtues of good deeds, show love to the needy and imbibe the act of giving.

Salinsile also stressed the need for Muslims observing the fast to use the period in stepping up prayers for the success of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

“I welcome all Muslims to the holy month of Ramadan. As we appreciate Allah for his mercies in making us see another Month of Blessings, let us remember the lessons of the season.”

“Let us be kind to ourselves, refrain from sins and be more addicted to doing good always. As encouraged by Prophet Muhammad, we should be more steadfast and draw closer to Allah.”

“Let us remember to always Pray for the Peace and Progress of Osun, our leaders and ourselves. May the Blessings of Ramadan be with us and our household.”
