Residents Hold Memorial Service For 2024 Ibadan Explosion Victims
Residents of Bodija Estate in Ibadan, Oyo State, gathered to hold a memorial service for the victims of the devastating explosion that occurred on January 17, 2024.
The blast, which happened on Aderinola Street, Adeyi Avenue, claimed at least five lives and left over 50 houses and several vehicles severely damaged.

The state governor, Seyi Makinde, said the explosion was caused by illegal miners who stored explosive devices in an apartment in the area.
In December, Makinde inaugurated a 10-member committee to manage the disbursement of relief funds to those affected by the tragedy.
