Local and State Government of Osun have been charged by motorists and residents to give rehabilitation of Akindeko and Ajigbotoluwa streets roads in Osogbo West Local Council Development Authority [LCDA] an attention to make life easier for the residents.
This charge was made known to Osun Defender through the spokesperson of the association of Lanlords, Elder Adeosun Timothy at Osogbo, the state capital.
The motorists who were complaining about the worst portion of the road from the entrance of IsiakaAdeleke Freeway, said many of them taking the road to WAEC roundabout, sawmill junction have been complaining in recent times.
According to them, “many of the private and commercial transporters plying the roads have not been finding it easy at all since last five years “.
They lamented that the portion of the roads that are bad constitute great problems for the safety of residents and motorists of the areas.
They also complained of potholes filled with puddles on every part of the road which affect their vehicles on daily bases.
It was revealed when Osun Defender visited the streets that the bad portion starts from entrance of Akindeko Street through Oremeji, Ajigbotoluwa, Adejumo towards WAEC roundabout in the State capital.
Meanwhile, a resident of the area, Mr. Adeola Oluwabukola revealed that the condition of the road has divided the street which led to its disrepair.
Another motorist in the area made it known that since last couple of years he has been parking at somewhere far to his resident which is not convenient at all.
They observed that the roads were in a dilapidated state which needs government attention seriously.
They called on local and state Governments to come up with a solution to the problem before the road becomes death trap.
