The Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday reportedly signed an impeachment notice on the state Governor Siminalaye Fubara.
Osun Defender gathered that the Leader of the House, Hon Edison Ehie and those loyal to the governor were also suspended in a session that was presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon Martins Amaewhule and attended by some members.
It would be recalled that an explosion occurred in the Assembly on Sunday night, with the event alleged to have been a ploy to stop the lawmakers from gaining access to the Assembly on Monday.
The medium gathered that some lawmakers made their way into the House as early as 7:00 a.m. and immediately commenced plenary where they all signed the impeachment notice on the governor.
