Rivers: Ex-Factional Speaker Appointed Chief Of Staff
Edison Ehie, a former factional speaker of the State House of Assembly has been appointed as the Chief of Staff to the Rivers State Governor.
Ehie was among the four lawmakers who were loyalists of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
He resigned as the member representing Ahoada East State Constituency 2, and as Speaker of a faction of the State House of Assembly after the peace agreement signed by the Governor in Abuja.
Apart from Ehie, the Governor also appointed some Special Advisers.
The Special Advisers include Darlington Orji, Solomon Abel Eke, Aminayanasam Fiberesima, Deeyah Bariene, and Prince Obi Ohia.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo on Monday, he said, “The newly appointed Chief of Staff and Special Advisers, alongside one guest each are expected at 11:00 am at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House, Monday, 29th January, 2024 at 10:30 am, for the swearing-in ceremony by His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State at 11:00 am.”
