Rivers Saga: Fubara’s Loyalists Storm Assembly Complex Amid Impeachment Plot

Amidst the ongoing plan by some lawmakers to impeach the Rivers State Governor, Similanyi Fubara, loyalists of the Governor on Monday stormed the Rivers State House of Assembly to protest against the move.

Osun Defender had reported that some lawmakers had on Monday morning, begun an impeachment process on Fubara.

Also, there were gunshots and firing of teargas within the State House of Assembly Complex during the sitting.

The development was coming after an explosion at the assembly complex on Sunday night as the chamber was razed.
