Rivers: We’ll Surmount Our Challenges With God’s Backing – Fubara
,
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed optimism that the state will successfully navigate its current political crisis and governance hurdles.
Fubara said with divine backing, he will continue to uphold its leadership, institutions and people.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Ngozi Odu, made this known on Sunday during the 2026 Holy Ghost rally organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
He noted that the state administration derives confidence and resilience from its trust in God, adding that the rally’s theme, “The all-sufficient God”, was both relevant and comforting in the present circumstances.
“With the Almighty God on our side, our challenges are surmountable, and our future remains hopeful,” the governor said.
Fubara explained that the theme underscores the assurance that, even amid uncertainty, God remains a dependable source of guidance, strength, provision, and grace.
He further stated that divine sufficiency becomes evident whenever human capacity falls short.
The governor also lauded the RCCG for its consistent prayers for Rivers state and the nation at large, applauding the church’s role in fostering moral discipline, unity, and faith among the populace.
