Rohr, 18 Eagles To Arrive In Uyo Today

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and 18 invited players are expected in the team’s camped at the Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort, Uyo later today ahead of Saturday’s Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Libya.

It was gathered that only three players and the two assistant coaches are already in camp.

The players currently in camp are Isaac Success, Semi Ajayi, and William Troost-Ekong.

Several players who were expected in camp on Monday CSN gathered has difficulties connecting flights from Lagos to Uyo while Kelechi Iheanacho reportedly missed his flight from London to Lagos.

Nigeria will host Libya on Saturday in a matchday 3 clash in group E with the reverse fixture billed for the Stade Taïeb Mhiri in the city of Sfax, Tunisia on Tuesday, 16th October.

Libya lead Group E on four points with +2 goal difference. South Africa who have same four points but with fewer goal difference from two games too are in the second position. Nigeria are in the third position after amassing three points from two games, while Seychelles are placed bottom of the group with any point after losing their first two matches.

Meanwhile, Libya will arrive in Uyo on Friday morning for the game, which Nigeria must win to remain in contention for a Cameroun 2019 Africa Cup of Nations ticket.
