Actress Rose McGowan has gone on social media to wish disgraced filmmaker Harvey Weinstein a happy birthday as he clocked 66.
McGowan was one of the first ladies who accuse Weinstein of sexual assault and misconduct.
In a video she shared on Twitter, she said, “Happy birthday, Harvey Weinstein. I told you we’d be coming. I told you 20 years ago, if I heard of you doing this to another girl or a woman, we would come for you,” she said in the clip, which went viral.
“I would come for you. Happy f–king birthday…from all of us.” McGowan added.
Leaning into the camera, McGowan blew a kiss, gave a wink and whispered, “We win.”
At the time when the news broke, the actress alleged that she was 23 when Harvey Weinstein raped her in a hotel room during the Sundance Film Festival in 1997.
According to the NY Times, she received a $100,000 settlement. But that agreement never included a confidentiality clause, and Weinstein’s lawyers later offered a $1 million nondisclosure agreement in October, which she refused.
