RSSDA: Wike’s Appointee, Larry Pepple Resigns

The Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency, RSSDA, Larry Pepple has resigned his position.

Governor Nyesom Wike appointed Larry Pepple to manage the now moribund RSSDA.

The reason for the resignation is yet to be ascertained.

RSSDA, an intervention agency set up by the Rivers state government in 2008 to accelerate grassroots development in the State has suffered neglect with its staff being owed 24 months salaries and allowances.

Some of the programmes under the agency especially oversee scholarship and Agro-business have been suspended.
