Salah Wins PFA February Player Of The Month
Egypt and Liverpool Mohamed Salah has been awarded the winner of the Professional Football Association (PFA) Premier League Player of the Month for February.
The PFA made the announcement on their verified Twitter handle on Monday.
Salah finished ahead of his Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino after he got the 37 per cent of the votes, while Firmino got 19 per cent.
Also in the running were Jack Butland (Stoke City), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), Pascal Gross (Brighton and Hove Albion) and Eden Hazard (Chelsea).
It is the third time this season Salah has collected the accolade, with the Egyptian scoring four league goals in three appearances last month.
He is joint-top scorer in the PL this season with 24 goals, the same as Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.
The former Chelsea and Roma star was voted 2017 African Player of the Year.
