Sallah: LAUTECH CMD Advocates Taking To COVID-19 Precautionary Measures
The Acting Chief Medical Director, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo, Professor Peter Olaitan has implored staffers of the hospital and Muslims in general to abide by the precautionary measures against the Coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement, Mr Ayodele Adeyemo, the Public Relations Officer, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo enjoined Muslims to protect themselves from the Novel virus preaching caution even as they celebrate.
Olaitan who congratulated the hospital’s Muslim community on the occasion said, “the occasion should be used to demonstrate sharing of love fellowship and kindness to the less privileged in the immediate environment and beyond in accordance with the injunctions of Prophet Mohammed (SWT)”, urging that “the largesse of the period should also be extended to those who are on sick beds, invalids, and for such other people that are under one stress or another”.
The Acting Chief Medical Director assured the public that the services in the hospital will be sufficiently mobilized to take care of the patients on admission and those that may be in need of emergency care.
“While wishing all Staff a good time during the Sallah, Prof OLAITAN advised that adherence to COVID-19 safety guidelines of wearing facemasks, physical and social distancing, regular washing of hands with soap, frequent sanitizing of hands and other personal and environmental hygiene should be accorded priorities.”
