The abductors of the 121 students of Bethel Baptist Secondary school in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state have demanded for food items from their parents to enable them feed the children.
The bandits warned that failure to do so will expose the children to impending starvation.
The parents disclosed this on Saturday during their daily prayer sessions to seek for God’s intervention for the release of their children.
They added that the kidnappers are yet to make any demand for ransom.
Also on Saturday, the main opposition political party in Kaduna state , the Peoples Democratic Party called on Governor Nasir El-Rufai to convene a stakeholders meeting that will include all former Governors, Retired Heads of Security agencies, Traditional Rulers and others to possibly find a lasting solution to the security challenges confronting the state.
The PDP Governorship candidate in the 2019 election in Kaduna state, Isah Ashiru, who paid a sympathy visit to the school, said the security challenges in the state requires that politics should be set aside for all stakeholders to come together and find how best to tackle the problem.
