Scores Abducted As Suspected Bandits Attack Zamfara Community
Armed bandits on Tuesday night attacked Nahuce community in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, abducting an unknown number of residents.
The incident was disclosed in a post shared on X by security analyst, Bakatsine.
According to the post, the attack occurred late Tuesday night, when gunmen invaded the community and carried out the abduction.
Bakatsine noted that the exact number of people taken away by the attackers was still unclear as of the time of the report.
“Yesterday night, armed bandits attacked Nahuce community in Bungudu LGA, Zamfara State, abducting an unknown number of people. The incident has heightened fear and renewed calls for urgent government action to protect rural communities in the State.
“How long will residents continue to live under the threat of banditry and insecurity in Zamfara State?,” Bakatsine wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the Zamfara State Government or security agencies on the attack.
