Security Alert: Your Unverifiable Information Capable Of Setting Osun On Fire – Oyetola’s Loyalist Blasts Adeleke
Mr. Akin Adeyi, a loyalist of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, has warned the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke not to set the state on fire with his unverified security threat information.
Adeyi, a former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and a staunch critic of Adeleke, cautioned the Governor not to turn himself into a false alarmist, especially on sensitive security-related matters.
Adeyi in a WhatsApp video, said Adeleke’s actions concerning security issues lately are capable of causing panic among residents of the state.
Osun Defender reports that Adeleke had last week Tuesday, said some criminals were planning to attack the state, calling on security agencies to be on alert.
But Adeyi in the video berated Adeleke, noting that the governor goofed when he said in the statement that he (Adeleke) didn’t know whether the security threat information was credible or not.
According to him, “The Governor’s statement and actions lately especially on security was capable of causing panic at the same time de market of the state.
“His statements, particularly that which he tagged “security threats information” was becoming unbecoming of a governor who doubled as the state chief security officer.
“How dare a governor share information which he was not sure of its credibility!”. Adeyi wondered.
“Probably the reason APC which is the main opposition party in the state quickly disagreed vehemently with the governor on this. The major opposition party said it was a mere hoax created by the governor to cover for his inadequacies and also to divert the people’s attention from his lacklustre performances in office so far.”
Speaking further, Adeyi said Adeleke’s call for the complete overhauling and reorganization of the state security outfit was embarrassing.
“This statement could be highly embarrassing to the state and unnecessary for public consumption. Let the governor and his handlers know that what they released here was very vital information. It can only do the state more harm than good. Otherwise, what other assessment of our strength, preparedness and readiness do the enemies need to know before carrying out their attacks(if any) against us that the governor has not carelessly and generously released? The governor ought to have been miserly when he was dishing out certain facts in the press statement. Occupants of his kind of office don’t play politics with everything especially those that are security-sensitive in nature.
“It is allowed for experienced managers of security to even exaggerate the strength of his response machinery in order to ward off and or confuse the enemy. However, in this particular one and as ever reverse was the case. Our governor goofed again when he took the state security architecture and Amotekun to the open cleaners.”
