Security Operatives Kill Four Gunmen In An Attempted Attack On Police Station

The security operatives of anti-riot Squad neutralised four gunmen in failed attack on another police station in Izombe, Oguta Council Area of Imo State.
It was gathered that the incident happened less than 24 hours after some gunmen razed down the Atta police station, including Magistrate and High Courts in Njaba Council Area of Imo State.
However, the highly spirited policemen countered the move and inflicted humiliating defeat on the gunmen who abandoned their evil mission and took to their heels.
The gunmen met their untimely death while others escaped with bullet wounds when they exchanged gun fire with police operatives.
This was disclosed by Imo Police Spokesperson, Bala Elkana, who said the latest incident took place between 7 pm and 10 pm on Saturday.
According to him, “The hoodlums in their number launched an offensive on Izombe Police Station but were repelled by the gallant policemen on duty.

” Four hoodlums were neutralised during the attack while others escaped with bullet wounds”, he stated.
He added that a mop up operation was ongoing with a view to arresting other fleeing members of the gang.
