Senate Leader, Bamidele To Head Ekiti APC Governorship Campaign Council

The Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, has been appointed to head the 57-member Ekiti State All Progressives Congress (APC) 2026 Governorship Election Campaign Council.

The list of members was released in a statement signed by the Ekiti State APC Chairman, Barrister Sola Elesin, in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday.

The council comprises prominent party leaders and stakeholders drawn from the 16 local government areas of the state.

Among those listed are the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr Dele Alake, four former deputy governors, serving and former members of the National Assembly, the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, and representatives of Egbe Afenifere, APC Elders’ Forum, youth and student groups, as well as local government party chairmen.

Barrister Elesin will serve as Vice Chairman, while the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Mr Niyi Adebayo, will act as Secretary of the council.

The campaign council will be inaugurated on March 9 at the APC State Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti.
