Senator Danjuma Goje representing Gombe Central on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the National Assembly (NASS) has withdrawn his candidature for the Senate presidency.
The election for Senate Presidency in the ninth NASS is expected to hold on June 11.
He made the U-turn after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja, on Thursday.
He has endorsed the ambition of Senator Ahmed Lawan as the Senate President of the ninth Assembly.
