Senator Kabir Jibril, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District, is dead.
He died on Tuesday.
The deceased was at the National Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 2007-2011.
He was born on the 18th of May, 1958 and graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria with an LL.B in 1984. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School in 1985.
Jubril was the National Legal Advisor and National Secretary, North-West Zone for the PDP.
He was a member of various committees and sponsored different bills during this period.
Some of the bills he sponsored/co-sponsored were the National Inland Waterways Authority bill, an Amendment of the Nigeria Police Equipment Commission bill, the Police Act, Amendment of the Legal Practitioners Act, a Repeal and Re-enactment of the Police Act of 2009 and an Amendment to the 2009 Criminal Justice Act.
