Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has petitioned the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee, seeking Kaufe Adidas SUPERSTAR - Mens adidas Cushioned II 3 Pack Quarter - H05658 the disbarment of Senator Nedamwen Bernards Imasuen from the Nigerian Bar over allegations of professional misconduct.

In her petition, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleged that Imasuen was disbarred by the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Second Department, on May 10, 2010, for fraud, misappropriation of client funds, and failure to respond to disciplinary authorities.

The ruling followed a complaint by a client, Daphne Slyfield, who accused him of misappropriating legal fees.

Despite his disbarment, Akpoti-Uduaghan claimed Imasuen relocated to Nigeria, presented himself as a legal practitioner, and eventually won a Senate seat representing Edo South.

He was later appointed Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, a position requiring high ethical standards.

The petition also alleged that Imasuen failed to disclose his disbarment in his FORM EC-9, which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before air jordan 1 low og florida gators pe contesting for office.

However, Imasuen and the committee allegedly ignored the order and proceeded with her suspension on March 6.

She further accused Imasuen of contempt of court, referencing Rule 31 of the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners (2023), which mandates that lawyers must treat the court with respect and honour.
