A 73-year-old man, Jonathan Oladokun, has been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate Court over an alleged N295,000 fraud.
Oladokun was accused of collecting the sum of N295,000 from one Gbadamosi Kasali under the pretence of renovating his family house.
The accused person, according to the charge sheet obtained by OSUN DEFENDER yesterday, committed the alleged offence on March 20, 2021 at No. 41, Ibokun road, Osogbo.
But Oladokun pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
Defence counsel, Okobe Nagite prayed the court to admit the accused person to bail in the most liberal term, noting that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, A.O Ajanaku admitted the accused person to bail in sum of N100,000 with a surety.
Ajanaku adjourned the case till November 30, 2021 for hearing.
